Our Story

The Ipswich Malayalee Association, founded in 2010, is a community group dedicated to celebrating Malayalee culture.

We’re a non-political, non-religious, and non-profit organization focused on bringing people together. Our goal is to preserve and promote our traditions in Ipswich and the surrounding areas.We offer a space for members to connect through cultural, social, and educational activities. By participating, you can help us maintain our unique identity.

We encourage you to join our vibrant community and become a part of our shared heritage. Throughout the year, the association hosts a variety of events.

In April, we celebrate Easter, Vishu, and Eid with a joyful get-together, marking new beginnings and shared traditions. Summer brings us together for a lively BBQ and sports event, filled with friendly competition and camaraderie. As autumn arrives, we celebrate Onam, a time for cultural celebration and thanksgiving. During the winter months, we warm ourselves with Christmas festivities, infused with Malayalee traditions.
